First of all, let me introduce myself !
My name is Isabelle Dupond. I am a woman from the north of France, a region well known for its conviviality and warm-heartedness !
I completed my master's degree in French Modern Literature at the Université de Lille, and I loved every aspect of it.
Through one of my professors, who directed me to the bookshops of Paris to still my hunger for literature, I decided to go and live there.
I found a job as a teacher and taught French to many classes of children, adolescents, and adults, until I started to teach foreigners. I realised that I liked that more because of their admiration, love and curiosity of the French culture and language. It is with the French as with many other people who do not always appreciate their own culture: they see the treasures of their own country as normal.
Foreign students are different, they never cease to be moved and they always want to discover more ; so, teaching them French is a real treat for me, an endless pleasure and joy.
For that reason, I offer, besides my language courses online, tours of French in Action, where I can meet my students in real life. It is a new synergy that happily guides steps to practice French on the streets, in shops, cafes, restaurants in Paris, Lille or in the country of George Sand.
In particular, I love strolling around the French capital! In the spring and summer, or as soon as the fine weather arrives, I organise classes in Parisian gardens, such as the Jardin des Plantes.
I love being outside, showing French life to my students, and savouring their reactions.
However, besides teaching, I have two other passions: writing and painting.
After twenty years of Parisian life, I wanted to discover the ways of life in the country of George Sand, and thanks to his novel Les Maîtres Sonneurs, I fell in love with this region.
Here, I can taste the serenity of provincial life with all the good traditions and the riches of the land that have remained almost identical.
Giving my classes online from here allows me to teach in complete
serenity. I can also write articles on the subjects that interest you: French language and culture,
museums, painting, cinema, fashion, haute couture, major currents of thought, etc.
All in all, I am a person who loves life, nature, beauty, sharing, and conviviality !
So, I am looking forward to meeting you, and teaching you all the good secrets of speaking French without an accent !
